Werdegang

After Nigeria won Olympic football gold in 1996 in Atlanta, many fans expected a good outing at the 1998 World Cup in France.

In the run-up to the event, Super Eagles striker Jonathan Akpoborie released a CD and video single titled: "We will win".

He charged his mates to go and win the trophy.

Ironically, due to injury, he could not make the World Cup squad.
